Do You Know Mrs. Lotta Scales?

Do you know Mrs. Lotta Scales? No? Well we do!!! What a super way to start our week!!! We had a surprise guest to introduce us to the letter L. She taught us the word library and librarian. It was Mrs. Lotta Scales... really that was her name. She had a tail, dragon glasses and some crazy hair. I can only imagine how this story went home with our students because it was so much fun. Mrs. Lotta Scales came to share a great book with the four year old classes. It was titled, The Library Dragon by Carmen Agra Deedy. I'm not going to share too much because I would hope that your child could share the story, BUT Mrs. Lotta Scales is a librarian who isn't so excited about sharing books with children. If you are interested you could always check with our local library and read this one for yourself. Mrs. Lotta Scales helped get us excited about books and borrowing them from the library because it is free!!!
You know we never really knew if Mrs. Lotta Scales was really a dragon, but she was nice enough to give us a cool dragon stamp on our hand. Thank you so much Mrs. Lotta Scales for taking time out to visit with us at the preschool. You make reading books really fun!
