The Christmas Party

So... it was an amazing Christmas party...even though I had to miss it.  There was snowball bowling, a snowman game and a real live toilet paper party.
And of course... pizza and cupcakes!!!  Thank you so much to the parents who helped to make this do so special and fun!!!  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

A Surprise Guest

It always makes my day to have former students stop in to say hello!!!  This cutie came in before Christmas break!  Her smile is the BEST!!!!  It was an early Christmas present and made my heart sing!!!

A Belated Heartfelt Thanks For An Amazing Birthday

December has been a whirlwind and I am just now able to post many pictures from our last week of preschool.  I just wanted to take a second to thank everyone for making my birthday so wonderful this year... because it was a big one.  (FIFTY)  I received so many wonderful cards and gifts and I cannot thank everyone enough for remembering me on this crazy day.  Our class enjoyed a Southern treat to celebrate with me.  Many thanks to this sweet girl and her mom for making this cake for me.  It was still warm when we shared it at snack time.  Warm birthday pound cake makes even a fiftieth birthday great!!!

Polar Express & Pajama Day

During our last week of school before the holiday break, we celebrated Polar Express day by wearing our pajama's to school.  The children always love this, especially wearing our pajama's to the playground.  Then when we came in... it was time to board the Polar Express.
We got our tickets punched by Mr. Andy...
 And we boarded the train...
Every year it gets more difficult to read this book aloud.  Having these sweet faces listening, reminds me how truly short childhood really is and that the magic of Christmas is the most beautiful thing we can ever experience.
And what a surprise... our friend below brought her real Polar Express ticket and bell for show and tell.  It was a super fun day in our classroom and we love taking our trip on the Polar Express to the North Pole.

Joyeux Noel

C'est magnifique!!!!!  We did it!!  Our Christmas program has come and gone and we did great!!!! Our boys and girls did an amazing job singing all three songs and our special song in French!!!!  We also sent home some super special art projects last night.  I LOVE our nativity collage... and the most beautiful part was how each child completed Mary & Joseph.  I also really love taking a special Christmas picture each year of my students... because, as a mom of big boys now, these memories move so fast as the years race by.  Now on to next week... Polar Express & a visit from Santa!!!!

St. Lucia Day!

We celebrated St. Lucia Day and our sweet girls were so excited to serve our boys their snack,  We wore our candle crowns and loved them so much that we wore them all day.  St. Lucia is celebrated in Sweden and was a saint who helped serve those who were in need.   We are having so much fun learning how Christmas is celebrated around the world.
