Our Sweet Boys and Girls

Random pictures from our week...we just play and learn and still need many reminders to keep our voices at inside level... BUT no matter what we are having a great time together.  We made cards for family members who aren't feeling well, did puzzles, played in centers and did learning activities. It is always a busy but happy place to be!  WE LOVE PRESCHOOL!

St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans...

Our 100th day happened to be the exact same day as our 100th day... which made it even more crazy!  That silly leprechaun had footprints all over our building and left clues for us to go on a hunt for the pot of gold.  BUT... since we are here to learn...we did a great job coloring by letter...
and sorting Lucky Charms for snack... then making a graph....
It was so much fun to follow the clues to find that pot of gold... but we had NO luck finding the leprechaun...
We were pretty disappointed that he outsmarted us... but loved our tiny golden treat.
Here we are showing off our silliest leprechaun faces...  Hope you had a fun day wearing green.

Really.... 100 Days Of Preschool!

WE MADE IT!!!!  We were so excited!  When we came to school on Thursday morning.... we were on day 99 and our gumball machine was nearly full..... then we started counting and counting and we made it!  We made a 100th day snack mix.
We built a 100 cup tower... all kinds of ways...
We also practiced counting by tens... to 100 and that is really a great shortcut...
And we did 100 exercise and played some games with all of our four year old friends.  It was a super busy day.!  100 days and counting.... YES boys and girls we still have plenty more days of school to keep on learning and growing.

Dinsoaur Days

It was so busy this week that I barely had time to grab my camera.  We were digging around on dinosaur hunts and learning about these prehistoric friends.  (And that kind of fun makes a teacher forget to pull out her camera.)  It is a little scary to talk about what it means to be "extinct" so we didn't spend a whole lot of time there... but we did have fun talking about the many kinds of dinosaurs that lived so long ago.  Here are a couple of friends trying their hand at paleontology.  After we all tried ... we decided that is super hard job.   Hats off to dinosaur hunters who turn fossil finds into life size skeletons for us to study.  It was a "dinoriffic" week.

The Great Lemonade Caper

Since our class has been doing so great, Mrs. Kelli & I surprised them with a pizza lunch.  It was super delicious... but had NO idea a small cup of raspberry lemonade would make them so excited.  Below you can see the sequence of pictures I took after lunch to send to 2 friends who were out sick.  The facial expressions are priceless. They had TOO much fun smiling and making silly faces.  And above is the lemonade that started this... and really.... each child only got a small cup.  Simply Lemonade has some kind of goodness that just makes our energy bubbles burst.  (However... this teacher drank the same amount and I have to admit it did not give me the same energy burst that our boys and girls had.  And YES... I really needed it to finish out my day.)
