Do You Know What A Sandlapper Is?

Do you know what a Sandlapper is?  A Sandlapper is a nickname for a South Carolinian.  (Now don't go digging too much for this is widely disputed... because not all of South Carolina is really "sandy."  But for those of you who are my age... we can remember singing a song from an ETV show ...."we are good sandlappers, yes we're good sandlappers...) So as we learned about the letter P this week... we took a few minutes to paint our version of the Palmetto Flag. 

Here they are... and we put them on display in the hallway coming up the stairs.  The crescent moon and Palmetto tree logo is beautifully created by each one of us.  And yes... we are good "sandlappers."
