Graduation

It was the BIG day!!! GRADUATION!!!!  We came to school with the biggest smiles you can imagine and did a wonderful job singing and showing off what we learned in Japanese.

Of course our day started just like any other day.... playing and having fun.  Everyone really thought it was a normal Thursday and wanted to do circle time and asked when we were having snack....
Then..... it happened... We Graduated!!!

Hooray!!! We are now Officially Kindergartners!!!!!  Their teachers will be thrilled to see these shining faces in August... but for now... it is time for summer!!!

Water Day

Water Day Wednesday!  It was sooo much fun and the children LOVED it.  We played in the pool, in the sprinkler, with the giant blue ball and even just relaxed in the sun on our towels.

Many thanks to our party mom, who brought us ice cream with all the toppings.... We called that the "graduation special."

What a wonderful way to end our year!!!

Mud pie Monday

It really was "mud pie Monday."  We talked about it last week... and today we actually did it.  We ventured out into God's awesome creation and had more fun than we anticipated with this scary project called "making mud pies."  I guess I really did grow up in the stone ages, because my mom didn't let the wonder of the outdoors pass us by.  Our mission every day was to find something new and awesome to do with pretty much nothing else but our imagination.  Yes we rode our bikes and did some outdoor roller skating, but the real fun came when we made something out of nothing... like awesome mud pie creations.  I think the idea of playing with mud really scared some of these sweet faces.... BUT they loved it!  Now I have to admit that today's way of making this crazy concoction was a little fancier than I did it as a child, but the outcome was the same.... (see below)  beautiful mud pies... perfect for any worm or insect to use as a home.  We also made a "house" out of pine cones and used some pretty cool natural elements to make it more fun.  We found sticks to use an imaginary golf club and the pine cones as the course.... we used sticks as microphones to sing to... we imagined that sticks were hover boards or skate boards... and just had fun pretending it could be anything we wanted it to be.  How awesome.... we invented things and created things and our brains grew because we weren't parked in front of some type of screen.  Only 2 full days of preschool and the real journey of summer will begin!  The opportunities are endless.... what will each day bring?  I sure wish I was 5 again!!!!! Don't you?

Our Class of 2016

What our future holds.... 10 wonderful creations of God that have their entire future in front of them.  God Bless these children!

Our Last Few Days....

3 more days until graduation....but no worries, we are still having fun and pretty much have no real idea what is about to happen.  We are playing and have a great time together and know that we won't be coming to preschool anymore.... but I have a feeling many of us do not understand what that really means.  We have grown so much this year and are all ready to make the next step, but until graduation... we'll just keep on enjoying our time together.  Below you will see pictures from our class picnic... (well before our picnic because I got carried away talking and didn't take one picture of families.)  It was an awesome time!  We watched our "video yearbook," took home our memory books and class memory activities and gave our key moms a thank you gift for keeping us organized this year.

Our graduates are the cutest in the world... and yes.... "I like summer."   If you see our writing practice above.... we are totally kindergarten ready!
