A Guest Reader

 We had a special guest yesterday.  She came to our class to read TWO books to us.  This normally isn't a big deal, but our friend is a kindergarten student and yes she can read - all by herself!!!  We are so proud of her and love it when other friends come to share stories with us.  I think the children begin to understand what learning is all about - especially when they see someone only a 1/2 to 1 year older reading on their own!  Great Job!!!!!  We always ask our friends that are in big school to share something that they love and our friend said that her favorite part of the school day is called "read to self."  Yeah!!!!  Who doesn't love to read?  There are so many wonderful books that it is almost impossible to pick out just 2 or 3 to share in our class every day.
