The Easter Story
As this Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, we made a special art project to help us remember the Easter story. This little project helped us learn about Jesus' final journey to the cross. We colored and cut out our own pictures to tell us the story and pasted them to this wreath. I did not direct colors for these pictures because this is from your child's point of view. The Easter story is so sad and scary for children. I think there is plenty of time for them to learn this part of it, so we did this how we wanted to. The main purpose of this art project was to help the children understand that Jesus makes this very sad sacrifice for us so that he can rise from the grave on Easter Sunday. It is such Good News, but we have to wait to share all of this next weekend. I hope you enjoy this little wreath and that you use it during this upcoming Holy Week to discuss the gift that Jesus gives us when He dies on the cross.
