It was our Mardi Gras celebration day in our classroom. We had fun with some crazy crowns and beads, but just celebrated the "goodness" of God's love! Although the church season of Lent that stars tomorrow is pretty heavy duty, we talked about how this super fun day prepares us for the long journey Jesus takes to the cross. We enjoyed a yummy sugar cookie and went overboard with the decorations on our crown. So beginning tomorrow we will "tone it down" to help us remember that the next 40
days are for Jesus to take one step at a time to the cross. (But, we always remember His victory on Easter with the good news that He Rises From The Cross.) Have a great Mardi Gras celebration today!
