I is for Incredible
It was our first "letter of the week." The letter Ii. It is so easy to write and can totally stand alone. We practiced our phonics and did several little work activities to help us learn to write it. We even had our first alphabet suitcase full of items that start with the letter Ii. Here is what we think "I" stands for...."Incredible Me!" God made us so special but all the same in His love. As you continue to follow our class this year you will hear me become very sentimental about childhood. It is so wonderful and amazing but it's value is diminishing right before our eyes. Children are bombarded by video games, television, movies, MP3 players, cell phones and rushed into adulthood before they are ready. I am so blessed to be teaching here in God's house and will encourage you to take all of the time you can to celebrate childhood fun. They have forever to grow up and not see the "incredibleness" (yes I made up this word for fun) of life. Play outside, color pictures, read books and laugh all of the time. I is for the incredible gift of childhood to you, the parents of these super children.
