Almost That Time

It is almost that time of the year... less than 20 days away....graduation.  So here is our final door decoration.  I love the message and it is truly what we have been talking about all year.  We learn the beginning skills for kindergarten... but our biggest message is that God is always with us.  He made us perfect, just as he planned, and now it is our job to go out and share His love with all of those folks that we meet.  Our theme this week was Bible heroes and stories in the Bible.  4 days isn't nearly enough time to do all that I planned, but it is plenty of time to learn that God is with us when we are scared, sad, mad, or happy.  He gives us the strength to try new things and to say "sorry" when we've done something wrong.  His love is amazing and is never goes away.  Thank you God for this year with these precious boys and girls.

Fly Away Butterflies

It was kind of a sad part of our day when we told our butterflies goodbye... So long to Aurora, Duckling, & Star.  We watched them start as small caterpillars in our room into these amazing butterflies.  Enjoy the sun and fly all over the place sharing God's love!!!  (Because that's what bucket fillers do....)  Happy Sunny Thursday and Butterfly Release Day...

It was a special day for us at the preschool.  We celebrated our mamas with muffins, fellowship and lots of treats that we made in our classroom.  What a wonderful event and thank you to our moms for taking the time to come eat with us.  Happy Mother's Day!!!

More Music Fun With Pastor Josh

 

 

 

Pastor Josh makes our music time to so fun!  We sing and move and learn rhythms... and do lots of dancing.  I am not sure if our children have figured out that this is almost over.   Only a few more weeks and we all will graduate to "big school" where they have music.... but, unfortunately, no Pastor Josh.

Sunny Sunflowers

 

 

A beautiful art project created by some super gifted preschoolers.  These are our collage, "Eric Carle" inspired sunflowers.  They brightened our hall and put us a sunny mood every morning.

Insects.... They Are Not Bad

 

This week we kept on track with Earth Day and taking care of the Earth by learning about insects and spiders.  I know... they are all creepy and crawly....but they are not bad.   (At least that is what I tell myself.)  We sang a crazy cute song that I found on Pinterest to help us learn the difference between insects and spiders... and I dare not even mention the title or I'll be singing it forever.  (But ... the song worked because we did the worksheet you see pictured above with no teacher help at all!!!)

 

We had fun with our snack and showed off our kindergarten work with our butterfly color by number.  And yes.... we still had plenty of time to play and have lots of learning fun!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 Oh.... and to top things off.... Our mammoth sunflowers are already growing!!!!  This really is an awesome week!
