We entered the church season of Lent on Ash Wednesday. The season of Lent in the Lutheran church is about preparing our hearts for the very sad news of Jesus' death on the cross on Good Friday. For grown ups it means sometimes giving something up or starting something new... to remind us that Jesus loves us so much that He dies on the cross for us... but in our classroom it means that we remember how much Jesus loves us and that after His death... He comes back to us on Easter morning. So we made this hand print cross to hang in our classroom and have started to read a book in chapel with Pastor John about Jesus' life during this time.
Each Monday we will add 12 colored hearts to thank Jesus for loving us so very much!
