"Happy Birthday Jesus"
Here is another song that we performed for the program. It is a sweet little song written by Carol Cymbala. It, at one time, was performed by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. We shortened our version simply because it includes the real tune of "Happy Birthday" and it was a little confusing for our children. The lyrics are as follows: "Happy Birthday Jesus. I'm so glad it's Christmas. All the tinsel and lights and the presents are nice. But the real gift is you. Happy Birthday Jesus. I'm so glad it's Christmas. All the carols and bells, make the holiday swell and it's all about you. Happy Birthday Jesus. Jesus I Love You!" This is the true meaning of Christmas. Yes we love all the fun stuff that goes along with Santa...but our real gift comes in a manger and is just a tiny baby. Thank you God for sending us Baby Jesus at Christmas. And thank you for these beautiful boys and girls!
