I cannot believe that is already November. Every year things just seem to move faster and I'm not sure if it is because I am getting older and time really is moving faster. (It is always so funny to hear the children talk about the passage of time. To them it seems like days between arriving at school and lunch time. Which in reality is about 2 1/2 hours.) Anyway our door decoration changed to Pilgrims and Native Americans. What is on our door is how our class will be represented at the class feast. I always love this door decoration because it sparks so many questions. "Why do they wear these funny hats? Why do they have feathers in their hair?" Either way, the children sure are glad they don't have to dress that way anymore. We already so thankful for this! Below you will see some friends at work with our play-doh. The pair at the table prepared a delicious snack of "fall pizza."
Our other friend made a sculpture. It is amazing what happens in just a few months. Play-doh really does become more than just something soft to "mash around." We really start to work use our imagination and create something new. Isn't learning grand?
