The Pumpkin Raffle Is Coming
It's that time of year.... when all classes have the opportunity to create an amazing pumpkin for our annual raffle. (all proceeds go to a local charity.) And I admit that in years past I may have had better brain power to come up with something unexpected... but this year... well... it is a simple creation... Fun Frankie. He is a nice Halloween friend that comes with a cute little matching cup filled with M&M's. Here we are.. and I had to share them all because it is supposed to start with cute smiles and end with our best Halloween face.. but somehow I think the children got it confused. The raffle is supposed to start on Monday, so bring your $ to buy tickets to vote for your favorite. I honestly have no idea what the other classes have done...and you may vote for any of them because the money is shared with an agency that really needs it. Have a great weekend and thank you God for bringing us through this storm safely.

Super Surprise
This handsome guy is a former student, who just happened to stop by this afternoon to say "Hi." What a wonderful way to brighten my day. He is now a third grader and growing up so fast!!! God is so awesome in these little gifts that He gives us!!! Thank you so much to this sweet boy for remembering this old, crazy preschool teacher!!! #bestdayever!
Really... A Storm Is Coming???
We had a great day!!! I think since we are continuing to learn about our five senses... we did our best to use our sense of hearing. (It was crazy LOUD today in our classroom.) However... we did get a visit from the bookmobile and enjoyed lots of beautiful sunshine. So most of us have trouble believing that there is any kind a rain or stormy weather on our horizon.
And of course we had lots of fun in our classroom doing our usual brain work!!!
And just to show off how hard we are working.... look at this awesome math worksheet we completed!!! Cutting, counting, matching and gluing!!!! All with little help from a teacher!!! These boys and girls are amazing learners!!!

Happy Columbus Day!
Okay... we all pretty much know that Columbus did not discover America, but we do know that he was a brave explorer. (I'm not even gonna go into the "was he a nice explorer" question because we all probably know the real answer.) BUT it is Columbus Day and we did learn that it takes brave people to do some pretty scary things... like sail a ship right into the ocean further than anyone's eyes could see. Here we are wearing our version of our explorer hat and showing off our sailing ship art! Who knows what these boys and girls will grow up to be... they could discover all kinds of things... but right now... we are just exploring learning and having fun!
Our Stained Glass Apples
NOW this is some kindergarten coloring!!! You can see our apples inspired by the stained glass we see in the Chapel and Sanctuary. The boys and girls did a great job taking their time and did their best work. You can see them as you come up the stairs to our classroom.
Family Trees
Here is our art project displayed in our hall. It is our family tree. Each child painted their very own tree and added apples for their family members. They turned out so beautiful!!! God has blessed us with amazing families to share our love with and to take care of us.
