The Easter Story

 Our Easter devotion this year was based on a book by Melody Carlson.  The book, Benjamin's Box, describes the events of Holy Week.  We each made a treasure box with the items found by Benjamin and made this little book to remind us about how much Jesus LOVES us.  It is a big story and it takes a lifetime to begin to understand how big God's love really is for each one of us... but this little activity is a start.  Thank you Jesus for loving us so much that you died on the cross.... BUT we thank you even more for COMING BACK TO US on Easter morning.

Easter Egg Fun

 It was windy and wet outside... but the sun was shining on our indoor Easter egg hunt.  You can see some of our fancy Easter egg art that we painted ... and blow is that giant basket of eggs....

 Don't be deceived by this picture... this egg hunt was no joke.  Our boys and girls had to find their very own eggs.  It wasn't a "grab as many as you want" kind of egg hunt.  They really had to look hard to find their first name, last name, initials, phone number, birthday and address.  PLUS the lucky egg.... So it took a little bit of time to carefully examine 84 eggs....

It was a fun day... and our last day before Spring Break.  These little bunnies are going to have a very happy Easter!!!

Picture Day

 Patience.... UGH!!! Such a grown up thing!  Picture day is just one of those days where we wait, wait and wait some more.  These cuties let me grab just a few pictures as we waited so patiently for the photographer.... What beautiful boys and girls!!!

A Taste Of Japan

You absolutely read that right... it was our "Taste of Japan"... Here are some highlights...  Bonnie San got some help from our fabulous parents aka "sous chefs"... and our boys and girls helped prepare the delicious sushi!  Sticky rice is delicious by itself... but we liked the other ingredients too.  Arigato Bonnie San for such a fun day. I am very proud of boys and girls for being brave and trying something new and totally different.
