Fire Safety Day

 

 

 

 

Fire safety day!!!!  We LOVE to have a visit from our local fire department!!! They bring the awesome puppet show to teach us about fire safety AND they bring the fire truck!!!!  This is probably almost as good as Christmas to the boys and girls in our class.  It started out as a rainy morning, but God is so good....the skies opened up to a beautiful sunny day!

 

 This year we got to see something even more amazing... the fire men let us see the ladder extend until it almost touched the sky!!!  SUPER COOL!!!! 

 

 

 

 And Mr. Andy even did a math/science experiment with us... the tires on the fire truck are actually bigger than our boys and girls, but not bigger than Mr. Andy.

Happy Explorer Day!!!

 

 

 

 

 

Happy Columbus Day/Explorer Day!  We all know the whole Columbus thing is not what we originally thought, but I believe it is important to learn about explorers who did lots of great stuff!  We learned about what it means to be an explorer and had lots of fun talking about all of the really cool things we will explore as we get older.  These are the cutest explorers ever!!! Who knows what great things they might discover!!!

A Visit From The Librarian

 

 

 

 

We had another amazing visit from the librarian!!!!  As always she does a fabulous job and brings so many great books to share!  Thank you so much Lexington Public Library for sharing the librarian with our preschool!

J Is For Jack O'Lantern

 

 

It's October and we learned about the letter J... so how could I resist an art project about jack o'lanterns?  These are so fun and make everyone smile because these "toothy grins" are the best!

A Perfect Week

 

 It was a perfect week... the playground was just right for playing outside and our classroom was full of happy learning!

 

 We even had fun with some silly faces as we reviewed our feelings. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our classroom is always full of energy and excitement and lots of learning!  We are so thankful for this class family!

Fun With Five Senses

 

It was a fun week learning about our five senses.... we had a yummy taste test, made a graph of eye color and did lots of cool activities.  Even though we are only in preschool, we are amazed at God's goodness in His gifts to us.  We can see, hear, smell, taste  & touch and use all of these amazing gifts to learn about the world around us. 

PS - We had so much fun with our taste test we made these totally cute candy corn friends for our classroom.
