The Dino Egg

Our pumpkin is ready for the raffle next week... and the big reveal.... "Dino Egg."  Our class painted the egg and added some speckles... and voila... a dinosaur popped out.  We think it's pretty awesome and hope folks love it at the raffle next week.

Stained Glass Apples

Here is a super duper art project completed by our boys and girls.  You will find them as you come up the stairs to our classroom.  Mrs. Kelli & I are so proud of students for taking their time and doing their very best on this coloring activity.  Before we started we took a look at the stained glass in the Sanctuary and Chapel and then took off with our crayons.  What a fabulous job!!!!

Fall Market

Our summer produce stand has changed into a fresh fall market.  There are pumpkins & apples and lots of fun things to do in our home living center.  Many thanks again to Mrs. Kelli's dad for building this awesome fruit stand for our classroom.

Riding Bikes In The Gym

So... while our pies were baking... we took a few minutes to check out the new "bikes" in the gym.  It was blast to watch these boys and girls use their muscles to follow our driving instructions and ride around with each other. We also practiced watching for traffic signals, because you just never know when a light might turn red. Who knew that riding "bikes" could also be a driving lesson?

Baking Apple Pies

Yes we cook in our preschool class!!!  In honor of Johnny Appleseed and delicious fall apples, we had another cooking lesson.  This time we made our very own .... individual apples pies.  We each got to use the awesome rolling pin to spread our pie crust out into a triangle shape... then we spooned on some apples and some super sweet cinnamon & sugar... of course we finished by folding our crust over ...then sent them to the oven to bake.

This is always a favorite activity for me to share with our boys and girls because baking pies with my nanny is a treasured memory.
Somehow I got a picture of the before trays... but didn't get a picture of the "after."  These little pies went home in lunch boxes because I am always afraid that the baked apples inside might be too hot for us to eat.  (However... I did take a bite to say that these pies were so tasty and good.)

A Great Place To Be

Just a few pictures of our day.... playing, working, sitting like kindergartners in our Spanish class and just having a wonderful time!!!  Our classroom is a great place to be and I am so blessed to work with these beautiful children.  God is so good in all that He does!!!  Thank you God for these boys and girls!

Welcome Fall!

Our latest art projects are here!!!!  We made some totally beautiful marbled fall leaves for our door...

and some collage fall family apple trees.  I totally love both of these projects because they are absolutely child created.  You can also see our really cool water color name tags that we painted the very first week of school.  Our students are so gifted and their art work makes us all smile.  If you stop in the preschool, take a minute to talk about your child's art with them. They are so proud to show off their work.
