J is for Jesus

J is for Jesus!!!! Is it that obvious? I love Jesus!! and I am so very happy that He loves me. The boys and girls in this class also really love Jesus. This week, as we do every week, we talked about Jesus and his never ending love for us. Since we are learning about the letter Jj, we had some fun with an expressive art project. Each child painted their own picture of Jesus. It is such good news that Jesus is always with us and never gets tired of hearing us say, "sorry." This is why I am so totally blessed to be at the preschool. When public school begins, there is no good news like this to share. Thank you parents for giving your children His love and preparation for next year. It is true that Jesus always lives in our hearts and man we sure are glad about this.

Fall Has Arrived

Fall arrived in our classroom. We made some really beautiful leaves from a fun finger painting project to decorate our door. This is our fall friendship wreath. We even incorporated some hand prints into the design. We also have a scarecrow, some fall flowers and even found leaves floating from the ceiling. Welcome wonderful fall...

Am I Blue?

Our color this week is blue. As you can see from our picture, the calming effect ascribed to the the color blue did not translate to our classroom - we were wiggly & giggly. This silly picture has captured the day perfectly. Happy "blue" day!

Thank You God For This Day

Could you ask for a more beautiful day? I don't think so! We really enjoyed our playground time today. Some us were hanging on the bar and others were sliding. It is one of those times where you see God's awesome beauty all around. Thank You God For This Day...

Welcome Librarian

Today we had a visit from the librarian. It was really fun to have the "library" kind of come to us. She read us books, sang some songs and taught us some fun finger plays. The children really loved her visit and earned a special treat for their good behavior. We were so good and listened without interrupting. (We were practicing really good manners.) Thank you Lexington Public Library for sharing with us today.

Meet Pastor Karen

This is Pastor Karen. She does our chapel lesson each week and we love her. She is one of God's wonderful helpers at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Don't forget to ask your children what we learned at our Tuesday chapel lesson.

T is for Trick or Treat

With the arrival of October, we will really start learning about harvest, the season of fall & have a little Halloween fun. Our letter last week was Tt and it was for trick or treat - but the kind of trick or treating that is more fun than getting candy. (Really?) We will spend time this whole month talking about trick or treating for friends with God's love. That is something that lasts a whole lot longer than candy treats. Our Bible verse this month comes from Isaiah 43:1 - I have called you by name, you are mine. It is such wonderful news that God does know us each by name and that we are His - no matter how we act or what we do. Trick or treat with His love this whole month and share this good news with everyone. (Even those who already know it - just remind them. It makes our hearts feel like we just enjoyed a sweet treat. )
