Here is our art project for the week. I wrote in our newsletter that we have been working hard to use our imaginations when we talk about polar climates. Normally January in South Carolina isn't quite so warm, so we did our best with these polar bears and Eskimo friends. We spent time looking at the globe and learning about life in cold climates. We also talked about what animals need to live in these really cold places. It was lots of fun for us to pretend that we lived in an area like this and used our walk in the misting rain for an imaginary walk in the falling snow. Stay tuned as we continue our unit on winter and polar habitats, when we learn about penguins next week.
