A Lesson In Friendship From Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

 Since we are going into a long holiday weekend and Monday's holiday is in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we spent some time in our classroom learning about the meaning of friendship.  The sweet faces in our classroom are all so loving that they could not understand why people wouldn't get along just because of their appearance.  We read a book about Dr. King and learned how his work made our world a better place for everyone.  Our little art project is displayed at the top of the stairs and here are some sweet faces from our room.  I do wish our world could be as accepting as these boys and girls...it is such a wonderful dream for everyone to live together in peace.  Thank you Dr. King for teaching the world about acceptance!!!
