Our Very Own Snowman

 I am sure that by now you have met our little snow friends.  We had so much fun making them this week.  Since we don't have any snow around to make a real snowman, we worked on this little project in our classroom.  We filled our socks with rice and spent time decorating them to be the perfect "snow friend."  The boys and girls were so excited - they just could not wait to bring them home.  Normally we would have kept these little guys with us in our classroom for another week, but I couldn't disappoint them.  So they went home in our bags today.  I hope that you enjoy them and have lots of creative play.  (PS - We talked about keeping our little snowmen safe.  They are filled with rice, so we know that they are not good for throwing around or for a dog chew toy. I also told them to keep them out of water and away from little brothers or sisters.  Since we are all 4 or 5 years old, we are responsible enough to take care of them on our  own.)
