We had visits at the preschool from community helpers this week. On Monday we met a police officer. He was very nice and talked about staying safe. He also brought us a fun treat bag to remind us about his important job.
Today, we met a veterinarian. She told us a lot of interesting facts about taking care of dogs & cats. We saw some really cool x-rays of animals. One x-ray was a picture of a little dog who ate a "tweety-bird" toy. The children had no idea that pets ate small toys. We also saw some heart worms in a jar. Yuk - but amazing. (I am never shocked by the children's interest in gross items.) She also brought us a coloring sheet and a cool hand out with pictures of pet items. Thank you community helpers. We love hearing about your important jobs.
