Sock Snowmen?

 What could be more fun than having a snowman that won't melt and will be your friend forever?  Nothing really.... because there is nothing more magical than a snowman.  So here are our little guys, they look exactly the same... but each of them got their own personality as the children decorated them. Each child carefully selected a hat and scarf and honestly, took their time thinking of the perfect name for this perfect snow friend.

You can see by our faces that we absolutely loved this project.  We kept them with us all week in our classroom and used our imaginations as we played with them.  You can see they enjoyed snack... and making friends with everyone.  Now... I was smart enough to keep these little snow guys off the playground because it could have gotten way to crazy and resulted in the need for emergency repairs. There were lots of stories and excitement as these icy friends were leaving our classroom to go home with our boys and girls and some wanted to know if they had the same kind of magic as our Christmas Elf, Skittles.  This teacher deferred to the magic of childhood and said "you'll have to wait and see because snow magic is different than Christmas magic."  (The jury is still out on this one...)
