The biggest part of our feast preparation is preparing the soup. It has lots of garden vegetables to remind us that the Native Americans and Pilgrims worked together to grow the food for that very first Thanksgiving. Then for fun... we made some sweet and tasty haystacks.
We helped mix all of the tasty ingredients and then dropped then on a cookie sheet to enjoy at lunch.
We LOVED this yummy treat and thank Mrs. Angileigh for taking time to share this fun activity with us. Then we were back in our room playing and working on more feast preparations.
There are so many ways we learn.... using play dough to strengthen our hands... number writing practice to help us feel successful when we have to write them independently... and riding cars in the gym to help our muscles grow The big wheels are such a good tool to reinforce strength and coordination and whoever invented the movable seat back is a total genius. (I don't have a picture of the random police car riding toy... but sometimes we have to use that for speeding tickets... boy can the children go fast on these big wheels.)
We worked on books about thankfulness... (and this friend's drawing of his home is AWESOME!)
In all the craziness.. we still had time for show & tell..... and this Lego creation even got everyone's attention. This friend made this all by himself... and it even had FLASHING LIGHTS!!!!
And finally we had it all ready... Now for the feast with our families and classmates.
