Columbus Day

 Okay.... we all know there is a slight controversy over the whole "Columbus discovered America" thing... but it is very important for the children to begin to think about how we all ended up here in the huge melting pot of America.  (I KNOW it is a big concept.... but you have to start somewhere.)  So we really did learn about Christopher Columbus and probably just remember that he "drove a boat" to America from far away.  There were no telephones or maps and he had to follow the stars and moon to show him the way.  Either way... don't we look like the cutest explorers?  We are exploring learning... one step at a time.
