Apple Taste Test
The apple taste test has come and gone.... but this taste test came with a twist. It was a blind taste test - meaning I peeled the apples and labeled the plate underneath so the children had no preconceived notion about which apple they liked or disliked. I did this for the first time last year and found that each child tasted all three types of apples - green, yellow & red; but in year's past children wouldn't taste apples just because of the color of the peeling. Interesting! So I took our taste test to a whole different level and we learned that apples are the same on the inside ... so it sorta became a social studies lesson too. We had a great time and loved our name graph with the results. Science, math, writing, reading and social studies all in one... that's what I call a "win-win."
