Learning About Native Americans

 

 

 

 Our room has been really busy getting ready for our class feast in a few weeks.  I know there is plenty of time before Thanksgiving, but we have lots of amazing things to do in our classroom to prepare for this special day.  This week we are learning about Native Americans.  There is a teepee in our classroom and we had lots of fun playing in this little "cozy" space. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 We also made our own tiny little version of a pinch pot and started making our "clothes" for the feast.  We have chosen our Native American names and decorated our vests with symbols and beautiful patches of color.  The children were so excited to learn about our Native American friends and can't wait to see what is to come in the next few weeks.
