Remember The Crayon Box That Talked by Shane DeRolf? The super cute heart shapes above are the result of our crayon science experiment. (I also called it crayon recycling because it makes me sad to throw old crayons away.) Hopefully your child can tell you how we peeled some old crayons and broke them in pieces to make something totally new and wonderful.... and I was so surprised to see how awesome they turned out. They melted together to make beautiful new colors with swirls and a little touch of glitter. Amazing how things can come together to make something so awesome!! (God is just awesome like that!)
And below you will see the little class blessing we say every day at the end of our prayer time. We kind of act it out, but it helps remind us again how cool God is for making us so unique and giving us such wonderful families.
Finally a little treat that went home today in your child's bag. Just a reminder of their little hand because it won't be long before it gets so big it will hardly fit on the puzzle. Happy First Week of Preschool!!!! We are SOOO BLESSED to have you with us this year!

Teddy Bear Picnic
We had our picnic with Mrs. Cindy & Mrs. Cary's class and even had a teddy bear parade to the playground.
It was a "beary" great day and we totally rocked our first week of preschool.

Playground Fun!!!
I may be pushing it a little bit, but I can sense that the seasons are going to change soon. Although is was not really cool outside today, it was so much better than yesterday! This gave us a few extra minutes on the playground.
Thank you God for an awesome day at preschool!!!!
I'm Not Kidding - Another Super Day
Below you see our daily schedule chart....(it helps us manage our day and know when our moms are coming back.) One of our new class jobs is "schedule keeper." This person has the important task of moving this clothes pin down to guide us through our day. This person also has to occasionally remind this teacher when she forgets to do certain things. (I have no problem admitting that I sometimes need a four year old to keep me on task.)
And our gumball machine....it helps us count our way to 100 days!!!! Right now we are trying to form a hypothesis about whether or not 100 gumballs will actually fit into this machine, however, we already all agree that no one should ever chew 100 pieces of gum. (See how smart we already are?)
Today we read the book you see below...Since we are learning how to come together as a class - it was lots of fun to hear this silly story about crayons who could not get along. We talked about what it means to work together and how God made us all different. Then we did a really cool science experiment with some old crayons. We peeled them and put the broken pieces together to make new heart shaped crayons. Everyone will get to see what happened with this project during circle tomorrow. (melted crayon wax sometimes takes a very long time to cool off.)
Then we had some fun playing in centers and doing some really fun art projects.
It is hard to believe that it is only our third day of school. We worked on being "bucket fillers" and can't wait to see what kind of fun things tomorrow holds.

Second Day - Better Than The First!
We are already working hard on important learning skills like cutting....and other important skills like making new friends and playing with new things....
Oh and did I mention that EVERYONE went to the "stars" today!!! We talked about being "bucket fillers" and the children just put everything in action! It was a totally great day!!! Four year old preschool is going to be the best preschool year ever!
