An Update On Our Counting Caterpillar

We made it across the rug!!!  It took exactly 51 days in school to help our Counting Caterpillar make it all the way across our rug, but we did it!  Now the shocking part is that this is still not as many days as the brave Pilgrims were on the Mayflower.  Amazing that 51 days seems like a long time to us, but imagine if you were stuck on that sailing ship.  We use this as a reference point to help the children remember that people in our past had to do a lot of uncomfortable things to get us where we are today.  I think our number one comment every time we talk about this, is "thank goodness we have bathrooms and bathtubs."
