Preparing For Our Feast

Our class feast is about the most exciting thing we do all year... well next to coming to school, seeing our friends, going to the playground, learning and all kinds of other stuff!  BUT.... it happened.  I kept the posts secret until it was all over so it would be a surprise for our parents.  Above you can see us making Native American pinch pots... of course ours weren't big enough to eat any food out of, but the children completely understood what it meant to have to make your own dishes before you could even eat.

We also have some pictures of cuteness and a tasty snack of "corn & carrots."  (also known as popcorn and cheetoh's)

We had lots of fun making our Native American inspired necklaces ... complete with feathers and a seashell.

We managed to have time for a visit from the librarian and chapel with Pastor John too.

And to help us remember how awesome the first Thanksgiving actually was... we made this little banner to use at home.  (of course... as a mom it also helps remember how small we were in the year 2019.)

We helped make the applesauce, vegetable soup and filled the cookies Senora Kathy prepared for us.

Then it was time for our family gathering...  we displayed our artwork and used all of our hard work to decorate the tables.  HOW EXCITING!!!  Our very first Thanksgiving celebration with all of our four year old friends and their families.
