What Is Quilting?

  Since we were learning about the letter Q and started our journey to Thanksgiving with the Pilgrims, we had a special guest visit our preschool.  Pastor Jan, an avid quilter, stopped by to teach us a tiny bit about the important art of quilting.  She brought lots of fabric and different types of quilts to share with us and the boys and girls did a great job of listening.  Quilts are not something you see every day and the children have a difficult time understanding that there was once a time when a family only had ONE heavy blanket to keep them warm at night.  Many thanks to Pastor Jan for stopping by to share her love of this special art form with us.
