Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!
We were actually one day early, but since we do not attend school on Friday, we celebrated the "Cat In The Hat's" birthday today. Actually it was Dr. Seuss, but we had some fun with rhyming words and made these crazy ties. I know that the real "Cat In The Hat" wears a bow tie, but that doesn't provide enough room for artistic expression, so we went with something a little bigger. It is always amazing to me, how familiar some of these books are to the children in our class. Every year we read the classics like: Go Dog Go, There's A Wocket In My Pocket and Hop On Pop, and every year, some child in the class has the entire book committed to memory. How fun!!! Instilling the love of reading in your child's heart, is something that is priceless so never ignore your child's request to read together. The best books are the silliest ones, so thank you Dr. Seuss for making reading fun!
