We Are Community Helpers

Today was our community helper day! It was a great day. Pastor Nathan was our special guest. He read us a book about the disciples and taught us a cool song about creation. We also learned what it means to be a disciple. It is so cool that just sharing God's love with those around us makes us a community helper. (Our goldfish take home treat is a reminder that Jesus asked his disciples to be "fishers of men" by sharing his love.) As you can see from our pictures there were several policemen - so our classroom was very safe. We also had an astronaut, a fireman, a baker, a dentist and several doctors.
We also had a community helpers parade to share our smiling faces with everyone at the preschool. Thanks so much for making this day such a success. (PS - We also did a small nature study with some amphibians that turned out to be toads, not frogs. It was very interesting for the children to see these little toads bury themselves in the dirt to stay warm. This was a link to our science observations of the change in seasons. "Bill & Bob," made our classroom very fun. After we observed them we let them go near the playground. Some of us were very sad and didn't want them to go away. Isn't God's creation wonderful? Your children are so smart and curious about all that is around them. God is so good!!!!)

I was wondering about all the policemen today! You know I still look at your blog and hope that your parents know yet how truly amazing you are.
