As a little girl we always made the most of our days playing outside... and the measure of a successful day... how much dirt we brought back in our house. My mom let us play from sun up to sun down ... making mud pies, building forts, picking blackberries and muscadines, riding bikes and creating mischief. Watching these boys and girls on the playground reminds me of all those amazing days I had. These last few days we have come in from the playground and headed straight to the bathroom to wash hands... SUCCESS! The temperature is going up and this usually marks the beginning of summer fun. We hope to make the best of our last weeks together at the preschool. Bring on Summer!!!! (Also.. the picture above shows our boys and girls on a bug observation... a poor granddaddy longlegs was spotted under the rock wall. We were all very careful to leave him alone... but it sure was fun to watch him crawl around. I am just not so sure it was fun for Mr. Spider.)
PS - another bonus... we are old enough to start helping with chores. This friend did an awesome job cleaning up after snack. (A dust broom and dust pan can be pretty fun if you don't say it is work....) Thank your friend for being a bucket filler and helping keep our classroom neat!
