Spring Fling

 SPRING FLING!!!  The most fun day ever at our preschool...(well not really because every day is fun!!!)  We got fun tattoos....

 We played with bubbles, side walk chalk and hula hoops...

 We painted sun catchers...

 Played parachute games and rode the train...

 

 

Had a cool and delicious Kona Ice snowball!!!  (My personal favorite...)

 Then It was time for the BOUNCE HOUSE!!!!

 It was a super duper day and we had lots of fun!  Happy Spring Fling 2017!!!

Plants & Insects

Which grows faster... a caterpillar or a sunflower seed?  Our class made the prediction that the caterpillars would grow faster.  So we got some super tiny caterpillars exactly one week ago... we named them Sparkles, Tommy, Jax and Sunflower.  They were so tiny you couldn't even see them in a picture.  The one above is after a week of growing.... Below you will see our sunflowers.  They also started as tiny seeds planted deep in the dirt.  After 5 days they had grown just as much as our caterpillars.  AMAZING!

It was just like our lesson taught us... first you plant the seed in some rich soil, add some water, sun and love and voila.... sunflowers!!!! We also did a very fun art project that doesn't photograph so well...but we painted pictures of sunflowers.  The children did a great job!  

Get Your Tissues!!!!

Cap and Gown Pictures!!!  I know!  Always an exciting day... but a sad day for me.  The itchy caps and gowns and ALL of the fidgeting to stay dressed for pictures makes everyone crazy... but it tells us that the end of our wonderful year together is near.  Look at these super happy faces.  We were so PROUD to put these on today.  It told us that we are all kindergarten "ready" and helped us get an idea of what our graduation day would feel like.

 Of course the waiting is so HARD, but we did great.   The cheerful conversations happening all around the church narthex as we waited felt like a group of future seniors as they wait for their special day too.  Who knows what amazing things God has in store for these beautiful boys and girls?

 So here is our class of 2017!!!  Serious faces above... and silliness below.  I LOVE these boys and girls!  Thanks be to God for our special class family!

Easter Good News... Continued

 We couldn't leave our story unfinished!!  Yes we were off during Holy Week and  Easter Monday... but today we celebrated the GOOD NEWS by making these yummy Resurrection Biscuits.  The children did all of the work and LOVED the missing surprise inside... our marshmallows were gone!!!  What a wonderful way to share the Good News of Jesus escaping the cross!  (And tasty too.)
