A Happy Way To End Our Day
A happy way to end a rainy Thursday.... Smiling faces!!!! Our two friends above moved their pencils to the stars for cleaning up a center they didn't even play in.... You read that right!!! They just volunteered to do that while some other friends were working. Then below you see us being bucket fillers by smiling and sharing God's love...
Not to mention - some super silly faces.... That always makes everything better on a rainy day. Happy Thursday Everyone!
Oud Dads ARE Super Heroes!!!!
We love our daddies!!!! Thank you for coming by today to share your super powers with us!!! It made our day extra special!
Arctic Fun
Snowmen, penguins and polar bears.... we had so much fun with our arctic friends!!!! We learned a little bit about the arctic regions but basically had a blast imagining all the fun we would have playing in the snow!!!
Super Heroes In Training!!
Busy, Busy, Busy
This classroom is full of so much energy and fun!!! WE are all working really hard to get ready for kindergarten... BUT we do spend time playing too!!! We build with Lego's, play in the dollhouse, play math games and have fun looking at books from our trip to the bookmobile. (Yes.... that is a chapter book....but how do you know where you are going with all of these learning skills.... if you don't see what kinds of things are in front of you....)

We LOVE Snowpeople
Our latest art project.... snowpeople... not just a snowman because we can have snowwomen and snowchildren. I think these turned out totally great! I know it isn't always a popular prayer...but just a light sprinkling of snow would be nice. We want just enough to remind us of how quiet and light and fluffy snow really is..
Hibernation ... Seems Like A Great Idea On A Cold Day
Just to help us understand winter a little better... we talked about hibernation. Of course around here, we don't get that much super cold winter weather... but on days like today, it sounds like a great idea. Who wouldn't like to stay snuggled up in a cozy winter bed. If you stop by the preschool, take a look at your child's ideas about what they would do to make hibernation fun.
Friendship Fun To Celebrate Dr. King
Even though we are small.... we understand what friendship and acceptance means. We all want to fit in and play with each other, regardless of what we like or wear or think or believe. So.... we spent some time learning about the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It was not a true "social studies" lesson because we are small,,, but we did talk about what it really means to be a friend and to share God's love. So we made some totally delicious fruit salad!!! A strawberry, banana and orange taste yummy on their own... but when you mix them all together it is like a tasty fruit party. Kinda like friends.... you can have fun on your own but it goes crazy when you spend time with others.
We also finished our totally cute snowfriends... Each one looked totally different... but underneath it all they were really.... "snowmen." The children were amazed that they all started out looking exactly the same, but once we added our own individual touch they looked completely different. Just another awesome & cool thing God does by making us special and different in His own image.
It was a wonderful day with us doing what we always do best... working and learning together in God's love. Thank you Dr. King for teaching us to do what we should always do.... to accept each other and to get along - regardless of hair color, skin color, favorite football team..... whatever! Happy Dr. King Day!!!!
